Missions.me specializes in individual and group missions experiences. With a distinct passion to bring Jesus - His message, His ministry, His love - to the world. Missions.me has successfully led hundreds of teenagers, College Students, Pastors and business leaders on high impact missions trips across the Globe. Angel House rescues children in India from the streets by building orhanages for up to 50 children. It is the passion of Angel House to bring abandoned children from the slum to safety and into the loving arms of caretakers that will educate, love and raise them to become future leaders in their generation. |
Thursday Nights
Each Thrusday Night is a fresh and exciting experience, including free food, great live worship, and an honest approach to following Jesus. Come at 8:30pm to grab dinner and meet some great people just like you. At 9:00pm, join hundreds of young professionals in live, high-energy worship to God. You are welcome to participate or simply listen and enjoy the great music. The worship is followed by a fun and media-filled message by one of our speakers based on a monthly theme. Whether you're a regular church-goer or you are totally new to (or maybe uncomfortable with) church, Thursday Nights is a place you can feel welcome and build great friendships. 
The Gathering (OU)
The Gath(OU) is a group for Oakland University students that focuses on building relationships. Relationships are a vital part of life, and we believe in strengthening, first, our relationship with God, followed by our relationships with each other. We also do outreach programs every month ranging from capture the flag to acoustic worship nights. Bottom line: we love to meet new people! Come on out and join us every Tuesday at 7:30pm in Cafe O'Bears in the OC! This semester, we are going through the new book by John Bevere: Relentless.
Small Groups
Since hundreds of college and 20s attend The Gathering events every week, small groups are a great way to get connected and build real relationships. Over half of those that attend The Gathering also particpate in a small group. We have small groups in locations all over metro Detroit, so find the one that works for you.

The Gathering Band is led by Jeremy Priester, who has been leading worship for 7 years (2 years at The Gathering). He has a deep calling to help others connect with God in worship.
The Gathering is a place where hundreds of twenty somethings from all over South-Eastern Michigan can come together to worship and seek God.
At The Gathering, together we experience powerful praise and worship and a message of hope for a dying generation crying out for something to live for.
Our goal is to simply do whatever we can to unlock the true presence and power of the one, true God. It doesn’t matter where you’re from or what you’ve done, join us. Amy Basel
Amy has been attending The Gathering for 1 year and co-leads The Gath(OU) and the New Believer's class. She works at Oakland Christian Church, and is planning to start a women's ministry someday. Amy also enjoys singing, piano, reading, and studying God's Word.
Andrew Charles Evanch
Andrew has been attending The Gathering for 3 years and serves as the lighting director. He is a Navy Seabee and was deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 for 7 months. Now, he is a full time student at Oakland Community College. He enjoys golf, auto racing, and traveling.
Doug Button
Doug's been going to The Gathering for 2 1/2 years and leads The Gath(OU). He's a communication major at Oakland University and works for The District Venue. He also plays softball and is a drummer at the Gath.
Grayson Welch
Grayson's been attending The Gathering for 6 years and oversees production. A graduate student at Walsh College, he also enjoys playing basketball, bowling, and writing rhymes.
Hannah Schlief
Hannah has been attending the gathering for 3 years and oversees the greeting team! She loves missions work, painting, working with kids, and spending time with her big family!
Hannah Bahlhorn
Hannah has been a part of The Gathering for 6 years. She is a dentist and graduated from the University of Michigan. Hannah also enjoys running and spending time with her husband Gabe.
Ian Wagner
"Wags" has been at The Gathering for 4 years and oversees the altar ministry and guest speaks. He's an entrepreneur who enjoys going to the gym daily, watching films, and doing overseas missions every year with Missions.Me.
Jessica McLean
Jess has been at The Gathering for 4 years and cooks and prepares meals for The Gathering every Thursday. She also owns and operates Jamaica Tan in Holly. She enjoys hanging out with her friends/boyfriend/family, cooking, vacationing, riding her four wheeler and watching The Food Network.
Jim Mazur
James has been attending The Gathering for 3 1/2 years and handles the tear down. He works as a civil engineer and enjoys viewing cinema and Detroit sports teams.
Joe Savalle
Joe has been going to The Gathering for 4 years. He's on the worship team and head of creative arts. Joe is a Marketing Director and business owner. He loves basketball, acting, Cannoli's, a crisp Cola and everything with Michael (Michael Jordan, Michael Buble', Michael Jackon, & Michael J. Fox).
Joel Machemer
Joel has been at The Gathering for almost 4 years. He oversees the sound each week. He is about to graduate from Wayne State with a graphic design degree and works for an Ad Agency. Joel is also getting married to Lindsay Novotny in June of 2012. Yay!
Katie Barton
Katie's been attending The Gathering for 1 year and prepares and serves Thrusday Night dinner and plays cello. She is getting her degree in International Relations from OU. Katie also enjoys big dogs, softball, long walks on the beach, and watching Star Wars.
Kristin Cumming
Kristin's been attending The Gathering for 4 years and oversees The Gath(OU) and the Gathering small groups. She is a second grade teacher in Rochester and photographer. Kristin also enjoys traveling, arts/design, cooking, music and tennis.
Lindsay Novotny
Lindsay has been attending The Gathering for 2 years and oversees the kitchen. She work's as a kindergarten paraprofessional and enjoys scrapbooking.
Lindsay Russo
Lindsay has been a leader at The Gathering for 6 years and oversees all areas of operation with her husband Dominic. She also founded Angel House, which builds rescue homes for India's 25 million abandoned orphans. She loves to travel the world and eat at her favorite restaurant: Thursday night dinners at The Gathering! Lindsay and Dominic are also excited to be expecting their new son in May 2012!
Matt Sheehan
Matt has been a leader at The Gathering since it began 6 years ago and runs the graphics/media department. He's also the Creative Director at Missions.Me and Angel House. Matt enjoys discount double checks, tebowing in public, and talkin' ministry.
Daniel Budzinski
Daniel has been a part of The Gathering for 4 years, and it has completely changed his life. He also studies Accounting at Oakland University and helps run a missions focused non-profit called Compassionate Touch International.
Shannon Grant
Shannon has been a part of The Gathering for 2 years and oversees Set-up. She is earning her associates degree from Oakland Community College. Shannon also enjoys sports, music, and spending time with her friends.
Tim Frantz
Tim's been a Gath leader for 4 years. Along with his prison outreach, which holds weekly bible studies for prison inmates, he loves football, tennis, and meeting new people.
Tommy Luong
Tommy's been attending The Gathering for 2 years and handles the graphics. He's a part-time manager at Aldo (he'll hook you up!). He went to Grand Rapids Community College and now interns at Missions.Me with the coolest people in the world. Tommy loves going on mission trips and anything outdoors.
Aaron Johnson
Aaron's been at The Gathering for 3 months, and loves serving. He works at Pro-Motion Consulting, and graduated from Oral Roberts University a B.S. in Business Administration. Aaron also loves The D, Church History, teaching the word of God, and the Detroit Tigers!
Joe Caughel
Joe has been at the Gathering for 2 years and recenty joined the Lead Team. He loves Jesus, Baseball, football, music (playing sax and listening), and - of course - frolicking on the beach barefoot on a cool summer evening.
Jasmine Flanagan
Jasmine has been going to The Gathering for over 2 years. She is currently attending Wayne State University. Jasmine loves going on mission trips, listening to music, watching movies, and playing sports.
